Bullfinch's Mythology covers Greek and Roman mythology as well as the legends of King Arthur, Robin Hood, and romantic fables from the days of Charlemagne.
Encyclopedia Mythica contains over 5,700 entries. This reference work covers the mythologies, legends, and folklore from around the world.
A collection of myths and folk tales can be found at Folklore and Mythology Electronic Texts. The site also includes variants of certain basic stories.
At Hercules: Greece's Greatest Hero you will learn the story of one of the better-known heroes of Greek mythology.
Myth Web is devoted to the heroes, gods and monsters of Greek mythology. Also included is an illustrated Encyclopedia of Greek Mythology which contains detailed definitions as well as cross references from the Latin names of the deities.
Profiles of the gods, goddesses, heroes, and heroines are given on the Mythology site as well as an explanation of the influence mythology has had on art.
The World Myths & Legends in Art site is produced by the Minneapolis Institute of Art. It offers detailed information of the story behind each work of art and the myth explored.
