Welcome to the Firelands High School Virtual Library open 24/7 - 365 days a year. Firelands is located in Oberlin, Ohio. Our High School Library Media Center serves the school population of 700 students with a collection of over 8,000 volumes and access to 34 periodical titles. In addition the library has access to several databases through INFOhio and LEECA.

The purpose of our Library Media Center is one of supporting the curriculum, teaching successful research strategies, and fostering lifetime literacy. The purpose of this web site is to enhance the support services we provide our staff, students and any other users.

Circulation

Books: Two weeks, renewable

Reference: One week, renewable

A-V: One week, renewable

Periodicals: Current issues of magazines are on display in the rack and are non-circulating. Older issues of magazines may be circulated and are subject to the same overdue fines as books.

Students returning materials late will be subject to a fine of five cents per day, excluding weekends and school holidays.

Computer Use

The Library Media Center has 29 computers for student use. These computers are networked and students must have their AUP on file with the Tech Coordinator to use them. Use of computers is limited to school activities.
